Standard Specification for the BJH Archtop Jazz Guitar
Model
6-string and 7-string models available.
Body
17” wide, 3” deep at edges, with carved spruce top plate, carved maple back plate and maple sides.
The underside of the top plate is fitted with either “parallel” or “cross” bracing, depending on the model.
The joints between the top and back plates and the maple sides are supported by kerfed linings for strength.
Traditional black/white binding on all edges.
Carved ebony tailpiece with slotted string holes for rapid string changes.
Ebony finger rest with black/white bound edges, fitted with a volume control, and tone controls if required.
Adjustable carved ebony bridge, shaped to suit the intonation for each string.
Floating or fixed pickup, as required. Make as required.
Neck
Carved maple with 12” radius ebony fingerboard with 21 frets, bone nut and black/white bound edges.
Single truss rod with adjustment in the headstock.
Two carbon fibre rods within the neck, positioned each side of the truss rod to stabilise the neck.
Scale length: 25”.
Headstock
Maple (continuation of neck), ebony veneered, inlaid with mother of pearl and black/white binding.
Tuning machines (make as required) positioned for parallel strings to the nut.
Finish
High gloss polished finish; colour as required by customer.
