Live projects

I have played the guitar professionally for all of my working life and have played in every conceivable situation. I began playing in rock bands when I was very young and soon started playing songs by such artists as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. I then found an interest in the more advanced harmonic possibilities of jazz. I have always been interested in advancing my playing to the highest possible standard and when I left school I would regularly practise for 10 to 12 hours per day.

I now tend to play jazz as my main style. Over the years I have played in function bands, theatres, jazz festivals, restaurants, boats, given seminars, you name it, I have probably gigged it! The links on the navigation bar above outline the main projects that I am involved in. I still play other styles of music when asked to do a session or play in other musical environments but the hectic schedule of teaching and performing does not give me much time to branch out into other areas.
